If you are looking for a Vacation home in Provence, you may also want to look at properties located in Cote dAzur (the riviera) or also the Languedoc. While technically not Provence, we find that many visitors enjoy these neighboring areas, which really are only lines on a map and reflect the Provencal way of life! Vaucluse In the classic heart of traditional Provence, the area of "A Year In" and dreams of French markets and Provence cooking. Hot summers and harsh winters create the savage and beautiful Provencal scenery. Farmhouses and villas can be rented directly from owners and villa rentals are available from all major travel companies. Most Provence rental villas have private pools. You can vistit nearby Avignon and Aix en Provence or cross the Rhone to see some of the best areas of Languedoc which has a completely different feel - but the same Warm Provence sunshine. The Mediterranean is a short drive and you are never more than a minute away from history.
