Property Description:
The spacious and very nice villa is located in a secluded setting, with a spectacular view facing the Mediterranean sea. Despite its privacy and tranquility, the villa is a short walk from the typical village of Magagnosc, and just a ten-minute drive from Grasse, the French perfume capital.The house is set in extensive grounds with a 11x5 meter kidney-shaped swimming pool. Guests can take their meals outside on the furnished terrace overlooking a wild green valley stretching to the coast.
Rental by the week except from July 15 to July 29 and July 29 to Aug. 12, 2 weeks rental.
Beside the house is a Baroque church which is lit up at night offering a very romantic atmosphere. Outside, there is a gas BBQ, a table-top fridge, next to a large bowling alley, a must in Provence! The house is finely furnished with antiques and decorated with character and taste.
On the ground floor, the lobby leads to a luxurious living area with a Provencal style fireplace, TV satellite, VCR, DVD player, hi-fi, and a large dining area. The brand-new kitchen, Provencal style, is pretty well equipped with induction-type cooking plates, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the second one has two single beds. There is also a large bathroom on this floor, with a basin, bidet, bathtub, and a shower. There is a separate toilet and a laundry room with a washing machine. On the second floor, there is a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a basin, toilet, and shower.
Area Description:
It’s just 15-minute walk from the villa to the typical old Provencal village of Magagnosc with traditional shops lining the narrow streets. Most everyday purchases can be made in Magagnosc but there is a wider range of shops and services in the town of Grasse, ten minutes drive from the villa.Grasse, with its sprawling flower fields, has long been the capital of the French perfume industry, and was also the home of the Rococo painter Fragonard.
Also nearby are the famous village of Gourdon, perched on a cliff top and the Loup canyon, great for hiking. One should also pay a visit to another nearby village, Le Bar sur Loup, the native place of Admiral of Grasse who fought the English during the American Independence war.
There is a wide range of activities in the area, including tennis, golf, horse riding, hand gliding, and karting. Sailing, fishing, and windsurfing can be performed either at the nearby lake of Saint Cassien or at sea.

The villa is just 30 minutes from Nice International airport, ranking second to Paris airport.The beaches of the re-known French Riviera are only 20 minutes away. The French Riviera enjoys a mild and sunny weather in all seasons. The surrounding mountainous landscape offers a host of activities, including mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, and skiing in winter.
The Principality of Monaco is 45 minutes away and an hour drive leads you to San Remo, a famous resort on the Ligurian coast of Italy. There are plenty of cultural activities: jazz festivals in Nice and Antibes/Juan les Pins, celebrations of medieval history, and, of course, the Cannes films festival in May.
For those wanting to enjoy the uniqueness of the surrounding mountains, the National Park of Mercantour is only at an hour drive.
