Maison Odile is a charming cottage for two situated in the heart of the unspoilt village of Bedoin and with superb views of Mont Ventoux from most of the rooms and the terrace. The property is the middle cottage of a little row of three similar stone cottages – adjoining another cottage which is also available for holiday rental - Maison Lili – reference DP71. The cottages are situated close to the church -only 100 metres from the centre of the village. Maison Odile is full of character including beamed ceilings and exposed stone internal walls. Externally there is a private shady terrace with outside dining furniture and lovely views straight across to Mont Ventoux - the highest mountain in Provence.

Area Description:

Bedoin is a lovely and unspoilt traditional agricultural village of the Mont Ventoux region. Spread out over a large area the village encompasses several hamlets all blessed with the mediterranean climate of sun nearly every day of the year. The area produces good AOC wine fruit and vegetables. The area possesses one of the biggest and most interesting and varied communal forests in all of France with 1,200 different species of trees, and protected fauna and flora. There are many wonderful hikes through the forest with details of these and many other interesting tourist visits available from the very helpful local tourist office in Bedoin. For early risers one such unforgettable outing consists of watching the sun rise over Mont Ventoux. Bedoin has a population of over 3000 with all necessary local shops and several restaurants and cafe-bars. There are supermarkets and lots more shops and restaurants in the regional capital of Carpentras which is only 15km away and which has a truly impressive weekly provencal market on Friday mornings. For trips further afield - to the west the wonderful historic city of Avignon is only 30 minutes' drive away and on to St Remy de Provence, Arles and the Camargue. Further inland the unspoilt villages, abbeys and sites of the Vaucluse and Luberon driving through vineyards and lavender fields ablaze with colour in season.
