Property Description:

The "Van Gogh" sleeping up to six guests is one of nine holiday properties in an imaginative conversion of a former “Magnanerie”. They are uniquely situated in the centre of the large & thriving village of Graveson midway - and approximately 11km from - St Remy de Provence and Avignon and a perfect setting for a holiday in Provence. Originally a priory for religious orders in the eighteenth century the property has since served as an inn for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostella then a centre for the production of silk and now is fully restored to provide a selection of character holiday properties. The high-ceilinged apartments are all individually named in homage to French impressionist artists who spent time in Provence. Most have metered direct dial telephones and overlook the superb 15m x 8m swimming pool and all have a private entrance and an individual or poolside terrace area with dining table/chairs, parasol and there are portable barbecues. Each property is fully furnished, and has an equipped kitchen or kitchenette, comfortable beds and a modern bathroom or shower-room. Linen and towels are available to hire on request and there are shared laundry facilities with small charge for marerials. The resident owners and are available throughout to make their guests’ visit relaxing and memorable and offer breakfasts and occasional meals by arrangement

These include - Les Baux de Provence, Saint Remy de Provence with nearby Glanum and many other Roman sites, the Luberon hills with renowned villages such as Bonnieux , Gordes, Rousillon and Lacoste, Arles and Nimes with their Roman Amphitheatres, the wild Camargue with its' white horses, bulls, bird sanctuary and wild sandy beaches and the medieval town of Aigues Mortes, the Papal city of Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. Graveson, with its' 12th century Romanesque church and its' museum, offers many of the flavours of the region with its bakeries, weekly provencal market and restaurants.
