Property Description:

“Le Pavillon” is a charming and spacious renovated historic house in the picturesque medieval hill-top village of Castelnau de Guers. The building dates back to Roman times and in the past the ground floor would have been the wine-making area. Child-friendly in a wonderful setting and close to amenities in the countryside, it is situated just inside of the ancient citadel walls. “ Le Pavillon”, originally part of the chateau, has been tastefully restored by an artist to provide a spacious, interesting and relaxing location for a holiday at any time of the year.
The 4 bed-roomed house provides comfortable accommodation for couples, families or groups of friends and can sleep up to ten on two levels, with spacious lounge areas both upstairs and down. A modern kitchen with sink, cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. There are two bathrooms, one with a full-sized bath, washbasin and WC on the 1st floor and the other a shower room with WC on the ground floor. A utility area on the ground floor has a washing machine and large sink.

There is also a marked 10km walk from the village and a nearby outdoor sports area with petanque - a children’s playground is found near the church.
Follow the Winegrowers & Fishermen’s route – it not only introduces you to the scenery but also gives you the choice of 35 wine cellars and domaines where you can sample the local wines, including the famous AOC Picpoul de Pinet. Get a truly authentic taste of the region as a whole, and experience its diversity by sampling the fresh fish and shellfish, including oysters farmed locally. Also discover the locally produced chocolate.
