Property Description:

Our modern villa has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. There is one full bathroom with shower and a separate shower room with WC.

It has been tastefully furnished throughout and the kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and full oven and hob.

We provide TV and videos, CD player, iron and board and a cot and highchair are available on request.

The villa’s south-facing garden and terrace overlook the two swimming pools (open April-October), plus a small children's pool, allowing you to soak up the sun long into the evening.

Area Description:

The lovely, old wine-making village of Fitou nestles in the foothills of the Corbieres Mountains, just 10 minutes from the Languedoc-Roussillon coast.
Languedoc is a relatively undiscovered region of France but offers 300 days of sunshine, 200kms of sandy beaches, two mountain ranges as well as numerous rivers, lakes and canals.
There are many large towns to explore, like Perpignan (20 mins), Carcassonne (1 hr) and Montpelier (1.5 hrs) and cities such as Barcelona, Nimes and Avignon are just a day trip away.

Fitou itself offers fine restaurants, a bar, bakery and supermarket.

The nearest beach to Fitou is Leucate beach – just 7 minutes away by car.

As well as the miles of blue-flag beaches, you will also be able to enjoy small fishing villages nearer to the Spanish border. Each has its own harbour, beach and plenty of restaurants and bars. The coast offers sailing and windsurfing is very popular in the lagoon.

The Canal du Midi stretches for over 200 kms offering boat trips, walking and cycling.

The mountainous terrain is perfect for hiking, rock-climbing, skiing, canoeing and kayaking. Horse riding is popular and for children there are several wildlife parks nearby.

There are more than 20 top-class ‘pay and play’ golf courses nearby.
