Property Description:

Going into the house from the front garden you will see the kitchen to the left, and straight ahead the living room which in turn leads onto the South facing terrace and garden.

To the left of the front door is the double bedroom, and a hallway which leads to the bathroom and finally the twin bedroom.

Both bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes and windows either to the front or seaward sides of the house.

The bathroom has a shower, hand basin, toilet and clothes washing machine.

The newly refurbished kitchen has all new appliances for 2008, including cooker, hob, fridge and dishwasher.

As the name suggests, Beach House is right on the beach in a private, gated, residential area.
Marseillan Plage is the Mediterranean beach of Marseillan, a market town about five kilometres along the shores of the Basin de Thau.
Cap d’Agde is the ‘new town’ of Agde having been in existence only 30 years or so, it has all the amenities one would expect in the South of France, yacht harbours, promenades, bars, restaurants etc.
Although there are shops in Marseillan Plage, for weekly shops the nearest supermarkets are 10 minutes or so by car – either Marseillan, Sete or Agde. If you are arriving by train, Agde is the nearest railway station, autorail is to Narbonne or Valence. Our two nearest airports are Carcassonne and Montpellier. By road the A7 or the newer auto route, the A9 are both within easy reach.

Area Description:

The Langedoc-Roussillon area is one of the best served areas of France both by way of access and facilities. Travelling inland you will find yourself on the coastal plain and then in the foothills of the interior. There are dozens of villages to explore, their 'centre historiques" still intact and reflecting an age when time was less critical and people still had time to relax and enjoy life. The beaches are first class, many of them being Blue Flag beaches. Fishing villages are plentifull, as are restaurants. Bouzigues is famous for oysters and mussels. if you saw the Rick Stein TV programme, you may remember that he spent quite some time in the Basin de Thau, the large inland sea-water lake just behind Marseillan Plage, and was most impressed by the area, and particularly by the shell-fish.

Area Activities

In the surrounding areas you will not be at a loss for something to do! You can choose the sophistication of Montpellier with all that has to offer, including a very good zoo with a jungle area( parrots etc.), the architecture of Pezenas (home of Moliere and his theatre group for some years) where Lord Clive rested on his way home from India, or the more adventurous pursuits of tree climbing and nature trails in the regional park of Bessilles near Montagnac, or any number of sports such as horseriding on the beach, swimming, iceskating, bowling, in fact almost anything except for the snow type!
