Property Description:
Choose between 13 luxury rooms for 2 with ensuite bathroom or 7 sumptuous apartments sleeping 2-4-6 with fully equipped kitchen, salon, dining area and garden. A substantial chambres d'hotes breakfast is also available for 12 euros per person. Guests can choose to have breakfast in the sunporch, on the terrace or in the garden.Rooms and Apartments
7 themed apartments are available on the ground, first and second floors of the chateau; each with their own luxurious en-suite bathrooms, occasional table and chairs and capacious built-in wardrobes and storage space. Two brand new, fully equipped designer kitchens are also available on each floor.
If you would like to reserve accommodation for a large group or family we are able to provide 6 apartments sleping up to 30 people on a bed and breakfast or self-catering basis. We also cater for weddings and other special occasions on request.
The private, walled garden comprises over an acre (3 500 m2) of lush vegetation and over 300 exotic trees, palms and shrubs, and is surrounded by the gardens of the adjacent villas. There is plenty of room for suntanning, a quiet spot of reading or meditation, or simply a gentle stroll to pick some of the fruit or discover an unusual flower or tree.
Salons and Multimedia Facilities
Each floor has its own grand salon with comfortable sofas. The grand salons can double as a dining room or space for entertaining or showing movies, while the kitchen areas are delightful, overlooking the private walled gardens. The kitchens are equipped with all the appliances you will need for light snacks, meals and drinks.
Broadband internet access via a wi-fi network (including laptop PCMCIA cards) and two dedicated personal computers, scanner and a printer are available for a nominal fee. An extensive DVD library and full cinema video projection facilities are also available on request for a small additional charge.

1. La Tour - 80m2 plus Private Terrace
The La Tour apartment is uniquely situated in the original Italian style tower in Chateau la Tour Apollinaire, where the Baron would survey his estate. The design begins with the stone and red-brick Catalan wall, creating a visual symphony of solid oak, leather, marble, wrought iron and glass furnishings. The apartment sleeps two in the main bedroom together with space for another person on a sofa bed in the living room (There is a supplement for an additional guest beyond the two staying in the main bedroom).

2. Le Baron apartment - 80 m2
The Le Baron apartment is a self-contained one-bedroom apartment following a post-modern French theme. With ochre walls, eye-catching art and tasteful antiques, Le Baron is the picture of elegance. Le Baron sleeps two in the main bedroom together with space for a further two people on a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. (There is a supplement of €20 per night for each additional guest beyond the two staying in the main bedroom).

Area Description:
Perpignan and the Pyrenees OrientalesDescribed by Kipling as "a magician among mountains", Le Canigou, the Pyrenean giant that towers over the Roussillon coastal plain, stands between the setting sun and the ancient city of Perpinya—as the Catalans defiantly call modern-day Perpignan. But while snow-capped Canigou is the spiritual soul of French Catalonia, Perpignan is its beating heart. It was to Perpignan that many Spanish Catalans fled during the 1936-39 civil war - among them perhaps the greatest cellist of all time, Pablo Casals. Another celebrated Catalan, Salvador Dali, was frequently drawn to Perpignan, but more particularly to its railway station. On different occasions he referred to it as a "fountain of illumination" and "the cathedral of intuition". Eventually, on a visit there in 1963 he said, "Suddenly I saw it with the brightness of lightning; in front of me I saw the centre of the universe."
