This beautiful, traditional property has been comprehensively renovated and modernised to offer superb accommodation in a charming, medieval village hidden deep among the Languedoc vineyards.
It is situated in the heart of the village on a wonderfully picturesque, tree-lined promenade. During the summer, the promenade brings out the locals to sit and watch games of boules unfold in the Languedoc sunshine.
Only a minutes walk to the bakery, grocery store and newsagent. The village also has a great wine outlet.
Mediterranean beaches lie just 25 mins drive away. Superb restaurants in neighbouring village of Magalas, only a two minute’s drive away.

Area Description:
The house is situated in the old part of the medieval village of Puissalicon.Puissalicon (population 909) is located in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards, 10 minutes north of Beziers and almost midway between Montpellier and Carcassonne. Mediterranean beaches lie 25 mins to the south. Puissalicon is one of the famous ‘circulade’ villages, the ancient houses constructed in a spiral fashion outwards from the centre.
Facilities in the village: bakers, grocery store, post office, newsagent, cafe bar and fantastic local wine outlet.
The neighbouring village of Magalas (15 minute walk or two minute’s drive) has three great restaurants, further cafe bars, bank with UK cash-machine facility, supermarket and pizzeria.
Sunny, sandy Mediterranean beaches lie just 17 miles away with beachfront cafes, seafood restaurants and all the glamour and glitz of summer in the south of France.
Beziers and Montpellier offer excellent shopping and hypermarkets. Beziers has possibly the best flower market (Fridays) on the Mediterranean coast.
Lake Salagou has wonderful fresh-water swimming and watersports.
The Gorges d'Heric in the Languedoc National Park offers astounding scenery that will make you forget you are so close to the Mediterranean coast.
Head west to experience the giant and imposing fortified city of Carcassonne. Alternatively, the beautiful Cote Vermaille and its charming beaches in the shadow of the Pyrenees.
The Spanish border lies just 90 minutes away.
