This elegant old Maison de Maitre, provides a cool haven during long, hot summer days. Tall shuttered windows bathe each room with light and provide breathtaking south-facing views. The parking is private and shaded.
· The spacious sitting room has French doors to the dining terrace, south- facing views across the Dordogne valley, comfortable upholstered furniture, TV, DVD, and a wood-burning stove for those cooler evenings in the early spring and late autumn. (logs included).
· The dining room also faces south and comfortably seats ten. The oriental theme gives an interesting and relaxed ambiance for indoor meals. The games cupboard contains a selection of games 'just in case'...
· The kitchen, with its unique vaulted mediaeval ceiling, is fully equipped with gas hob and fan assisted oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. In the cupboards you will find a full range of culinary equipment, fine china and glasses.
· 5 comfortable en suite bedrooms, individually furnished in country house style and contain a mixture of English and French antiques. Three of the rooms have stunning south-facing views across the verdant Dordogne valley.
For your comfort, all the bedrooms have ceiling fans and modern en-suite facilities - three with bath and shower and two with walk in showers. Robes, towels, face cloths and bath mats are included, as is the crisp, white bed linen. The beds will be freshly made for your arrival.
Outside, the top terrace is easily accessed from the kitchen and sitting room and contains both dining furniture and a barbeque, making this the perfect place to stargaze on those balmy summer evenings.
An ancient vine-edged staircase leads you down to the exclusive swimming pool, set in a sunny terrace, flanked by fragrant flower beds, lawns and vines, with unique panoramic vistas over the Valley of the Five Chateaux.
Along with ample pool furniture for all, a fridge for refreshing poolside drinks, a WC and washbasin are conveniently located close to the pool terrace. For total peace of mind, the owners maintain the pool and provide pool towels free of charge.

Beynac formidable and once taken by Richard the Lionheart. Castelnaud with a great museum of antique weapons a perfect visit for the children, and the beautiful shady gardens of chateau Marqissac with room to run and run.
Cave painting in the Vesere valley, Lascaux and font de gaume. Air parks and canoe stations. Ballon and airoplane trips. Horse riding, cycling and walking.
Eating, wine tasting and shopping in the daily markets. Hunting for bargans at the antique markets
