If you don't feel like driving, you will be enjoy leafy walks along the Garonne where you can admire several stunning 18th century chateaux & follies, all within 1 km of "Le Chai".

A cycle track follows the river for 1 km before heading into the countryside. Or you could always take it in the other direction and find yourself on Bordeaux's charming quayside in about 20 minutes. And if it's Sunday morning, you can shop and or snack on oysters and paella at Bordeaux 's chic "Marche Colbert"

This is winelovers' heaven. Vineyards abound. The wine chateaux of Latresne are part of the Entre Deux Mers and Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux region. St Emilion is just a 30 minute drive away. The Medoc, a little further.

If you prefer the beach, Arcachon and the Atlantic beaches are within easy reach. Just an hour's drive away.
