Property Description:

You enter the house into the large central kitchen, which is equipped with gas stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, table and benches, and a cozy reading nook in front of the fireplace. There are two large bedrooms, both have double beds and room to add a baby or child's bed. There is a large sitting/dining room with a daybed and chairs, tables, lamps, area rug, and a dining table and chairs. Bathroom with shower , toilet, basin, and electric towel drier/heater.

Upstairs there is another large central sitting area witha daybed and several chairs, tv, DVD player. Two more bedrooms, one has a double bed and an antique baby bed, the other has an extra large single bed. WC with toilet and basin.

All the bedrooms have armoires, tables, lamps, area rugs, etc.

Outside there is a charming rustic covered terrasse with barbecue and sink for outdoor dining near the 8 x 4m pool. Lawn furniture, dining tables and benches, lounge chairs by the pool.

A washing machine is available for your use. Linens are supplied, just be sure to bring a beach towel for recreational/outside use.

Area Description:

The Bouriane region is known for it's simple rural lifestyle and gastronomic pleasures : foie gras, truffles, wine, goat cheese, walnuts, melons. The local farmer's markets at Cazals, Cahors, Prayssac and Catus are perfect places to sample these specialties. Afterward, take a walk along one of the numerous well marked and maintained walking trails, like the 'chemin de menhirs' which passes by the house, or just take a nap by the pool. There are many attractions within easy driving distance, Pech Merle cave with its prehistoric drawings, the historic city of Rocamadour, the Chateau de Bonaguil, Cahors with its hidden gardens and Valentre bridge, the Lot river for an evening cruise...all nearby while staying in a quiet hamlet in a rural setting.
