Area Description:

A restaurant and bakery are found in the nearby village of Champagnac, about 3km away but for a full range of amenities and places of interest, head for Brantome (7km). Almost enclosed by the River Dronne, Brantome is known as the 'Venice of the Dordogne' and is dominated by its massive medieval abbey, now the town hall. The imposing medieval chateau at Puyguilhem is also a compelling attraction with its ornate stone chimneys and decorative arrow slits through which you can appreciate its peaceful, woodland setting.
