To the south of Montcabrier by about 6km is the village of Duravel where you will find such amenities as an epiciere, tabac and bakery whilst larger supermarkets can be found at Fumel (11km). Nearby Puy-l'Eveque, clinging to the banks of the Lot, is a charming little town where narrow streets and alleys are flanked by medieval and Renaissance houses.
