Property Description:
This apartment is in 2 former classrooms in Passirac's original school building. The building was most recently an agricultural lycee and was abandoned over 10 years ago.The new English owners are a young couple who are gradually converting the complex of buildings into holiday accommodations. They have already completed Maison St. Louis a 5 bedroom home on 3 levels which you can see on our site as well.
The kitchen is simply furnished with a refrigerator/freezer, kettle, gas oven and microwave. The whole room is open plan, with an eating area to seat 4-6 and a counter top dividing the space between the kitchen and lounge. The lounge has a French TV, DVD and a mini stereo.
The two bedrooms are off the lounge area, the twin has ample room for an additional bed and both rooms enjoy the evening sunshine.
The owners will almost guarantee, you will spend most of your time out of doors near the pool or in garden. There is a barbecue, table and chairs and loungers provided.
The bathroom is of course newley refinished as well. A full size bath tub with shower with toilet and sink.
The apartment is available all year Change over is Saturday. Bed linen is provided, towel are available for 5 euro per person per week.Pool towels are NOT provided. A small breakage deposit is required.
Area Description:
Brossac is the local village with the basic needs for your shopping. There is a swimming/ fishing lake with a children’s play area and sandy beach, picnic area, restaurant and equestrian center. It all can be reached by car or a pleasant walk through the countryside. Chalais and Barbezieux are only 15km away, both with large weekly outdoor markets and shopping. They both also have interesting places to visit, tourist offices and chateaux.The area is known for its rambling walks and Roman art. Don’t miss out on the fine wines, Pineau and Cognac. Restaurants can be found scattered around at prices to meet anyone’s budget.
Angouleme is a short drive away, the Atlantic coast is only 80kms away, with its pine forests and sandy beaches. The busy town of Bordeaux is an easy 50 minute drive.
If you are looking to explore the area the Passirac Marie’s office is extremely helpful and enjoys visitors.

The area boasts many things to do, if you are looking for something, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to see if it is availaible.In the area there is Brossac lake for swimming and fishing, it also has a small off road quad centre for the young at heart or horse ridding
