If you are not familiar with the region then a study of the map of southwest France will reveal how well situated Montguyon is for visiting the Dordogne, the Atlantic Coast, the Cognac region and, of course, the Gironde Estuary with all its famous Chateaux of the Bordeaux wine region. The beautiful town of St Emilion is just 30/40 minutes drive.

The Little House itself is situated ten minutes walk from the Market Square where you will find the local shops. Fresh croissants and crusty baguettes for breakfast can be fetched on foot while the coffee brews and then enjoyed in the spacious kitchen, in the shade of the lime tree or on the terrace.

Close to home is Beau Vallon. A pleasant 3km walk or drive through the gently rolling vine-clad landscape brings you to this turquoise lake set amongst the pine trees, with safe, clean bathing from the sandy beach, beach bar and grill.
