Property Description:
La Source is a big, luxerous and comfortable four- till sixperson gite at the south side of our manoir. The entrance to this gite is through the main entrance of our property. You can park your car at the parking at the end of the lane.The gite has big private terrace, with a barbecue and nice gardenfurniture (including comfortable cushions). From this terrace you have a very beautiful view at the valley.
From the terrace you enter the homely and well decorated lounge(5x6,5m). The lounge has a comfortable three person sofa and also two very nice easy-chairs. There's also a very nice Jotul woodstove. A dinnertable with six chairs, a buffet and an antique washbasin make the finishing touch.
The stereo-set gives you the opportunity, enjoying a good glas of wine, to listen to your favorite music.
The beautiful new kitchen has a gas-cooker with cooker-hood, a dishwasher, a washingmachine, a micro-wave and a fridge. Of course there's plenty of dinner-service and pans available, so you can make your own delicious french meal. Of course you can also go for dinner in one of the nice French restaurants in the region.
From the lounge there's a stairs to the bedrooms on the first floor. The bedroom at the south side(4x5m), hast two single beds (90x210) with high quality mattresses. The bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom. This lovely bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin.
The second bedroom is situated at the north side of the gite and has a beautiful view at the garden. This bedroom is about 3,5x5 m and has an ensuite bathroom. This bathroom also has a shower, toilet and basin. The bedroom has a nice double bed (160x200) and matresses of high quality.
You can be sure you will have a good night's rest on your holidays.
In this gite there's also a third bedroom available. This bedroom is at the second floor and is very useful as a bedroom for two children. In that case they must use one of the bathrooms downstairs.

The undulating green landscape, the meandering rivers, the extensive vineyards, the coast, but also the "Art Roman" make The Charente a region where quiet, nature, culture and informality go together. Through its variety and changing landscape each spot in this region will surprise you.In the area of culture and architecture the Charente has a rich heritage. There are many castles, forts, museums, lovely Roman churches and picturesque towns and villages that are well worth a visit.
The gastronomer can also do himself justice in this region. Foie gras, truffels, magret de canard, oysters and cheese are typical of the Charente cuisine, and then of course there's the famous cognac and Pineau de Charente. In addition the region produces a number of excellent wines.
The Charente has an excellent climate. The warm Gulf Stream generally keeps the temperature there at a comfortable level.
The exceptional hours of recorded sunshine are about the highest in France and match those of the Mediterranean.
Because the proximity of the ocean provides enough rainfall, however, the summer landscape is fresh and green.
