Area Description:

Graeme and Graziella Swan welcome you to Le Tilleul part of Les Cygnes, three beautifully restored gites with a private pool 5 metre by 10 metre saltwater pool, set in 5 acres of peaceful French countryside.

We are situated in the heart of Poitou-Charentes, on the west coast of France. This picturesque region has 2,250 hours of sunshine per year, making it the second sunniest region in France and, therefore, ideal for visiting from early spring to late autumn.

The region offers many attractions and the landscape is rich in beauty and colour, from the dazzling, yellow sunflower fields against an endless blue sky to the wild Atlantic coastline bordered by sand dunes and pine forests.

Les Cygnes is located in the small village of Le Breuil Coiffaud and is ideally situated as a touring base, a quiet holiday in the country or a bit of both. We have a large garden with plenty of room to stretch your legs, play games, have a picnic or simply sit and read a book.

The surrounding countryside is perfect for cycling, walking or horse riding, we can arrange lessons or treks round the countryside from Les Ecuries du Breuil one of the best stables in the department and only 5 minutes walk away.

The saltwater pool was installed in 2005 and is 5m by 10m, it is protected by an AFNOR approved pool alarm and is fenced for your safety and privacy. The large surrounding area also boasts a large cabana to provide plenty of shade, large parasols and loungers for your relaxation.

Les Cygnes is also well placed as a holiday destination with plenty of attractions such as Futuroscope, La Vallee des Singes, Zoorama close by and the safe beaches of the Atlantic coast as near as 1 hour 15 minutes away, there are of course many others detailed on our website www.lescygnes.net
