Property Description:

Villa in France: Atlantic Coast, between La Rochelle and Bordeaux. Large island of Oleron. Recent house built to enjoy a vantage point in family-owned forest. Total privacy and quiet and yet the beach is 3 minutes away. The house is designed for a large family or group of friends to spread out and enjoy different rythms and activities: early risers or late sleepers, sun or shade, cook inside or outside. The bedrooms are fairly small,but they all walk out onto terraces except one, and almost all have new beds.There is only one bathroom in the main unit but 2 separate toilets. The living room is on the top floor with circular views of the treetops, sunny slopes, deep shady undergrowth and a glimse of the sea. The open plan kitchen, log fireplace, quality furniture and personal decoration contribute to a friendly atmosphere.
On the ground floor, there is a guest flat, with a bedroom, a sitting room/kitchen, an bathroom and a WC. Grand-parents, teenagers, young couple with baby, etc, will appreciate the total independance of this second unit.

We are in he rougher and more natural part of the island of Oleron. The charming old village of Chaucre is inland, 1 km awayi, one of the most authentic of the island.. The market village of Domino just beyond. The island is great for cylcing (many cycling paths). Ours is one of the best beaches for surfing and winsurfing. The forest of Domino is all around the house.
